Dr. Simon Barker, ND
Dr. Simon Barker, ND received his doctoral degree from Bastyr University in Seattle. He spent three years practicing in a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Southeastern Connecticut before moving to California to open Paracelsus with Dr. Daniel Brousseau. While on the East Coast, he set up satellite clinics in three further locations in Connecticut. He was an Associate Professor of Clinical Studies at the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He has written questions for the national Naturopathic licensing exams. He served as the vice-president of the Connecticut Society of Naturopathic Physicians in 2003 and is the immediate past President and Legislative co-chair of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. He is a member of the House of Delegates for American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He lectures frequently throughout Southern California. He has been a guest on Veria’s “Naturally Delicious” and KVCR’s “It’s Your Call.” He also appeared on PBS’ “American Health Journal” series about Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Barker holds a BA and an MA from the University of Connecticut. After leaving UCONN, he returned to his native Britain to work in a Camphill community near Dumfries in Scotland for a year. He stayed a further three years in the UK, studying at the School of Homeopathic Medicine in Darlington, England, before returning to the United States for his naturopathic medical training. Dr. Barker treats people of all ages for all conditions with an emphasis on the care of patients with cancer and hormonal imbalances such as hypothyroidism, menopause and diabetes. He uses a wide variety of alternative health care approaches including homeopathy, diet and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, anthroposophical medicine and hydrotherapy.
Dr. Nadia Mistry, ND
Dr. Nadia Mistry, ND received her doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle. She received advanced training in homeopathy with Dr. Paul Herscu and Dr. Amy Rothenberg of the New England School of Homeopathy. Dr. Mistry also completed additional coursework in nutritional IV therapy. Before attending Bastyr, she graduated Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Computer Science. Dr. Mistry is a certified vinyasa yoga teacher and taught classes in Las Vegas and Seattle prior to medical school.
Dr. Mistry is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic physicians and California Naturopathic Doctor’s Association, and serves on the legislative committee.
