New patient visits are an hour long for adults and children and cost $300. These usually involve a full medical history, review of prior lab tests and scans that you have brought with you, evaluation of current medications and supplements, answers to your questions, a physical exam and a fully-explained treatment plan. This thorough visit allows you and your doctor to get to the root cause of your problems so that your health concerns can be properly addressed for long-term health gains.

Follow-up visits are a half hour long and cost $150. Your doctor will schedule a follow-up visit with you about a month after the initial visit in most cases. The purpose of the follow-up visit is to review tests ordered during the initial visit, evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan, and make any necessary adjustments to it. The frequency of future visits will vary.

Longer follow-up appointments can be arranged at hourly rates. You will never be charged extra for your visit without a discussion beforehand.

Home visits are available within a 25 mile radius and do involve an additional charge based on the time it takes to travel to your home – $150 for travel that is ½ hour or less round trip and $300 for travel that is up to an hour round trip.

When you book your appointment, you will be asked for a credit card number. This is your reservation of the doctor’s time. We will not charge your card before your visit. At the time of your visit, you may pay with cash, check or with this or another credit card. We will not keep your credit card on file after your first visit unless you ask us to. If you miss your appointment without giving us 24 hours notice, we will charge this card for the cost of the visit ($300).

Please be on time for your visit. Unlike many conventional doctor’s offices, we do not double book or overbook patients. We work very hard to keep to our schedules. If you are late for a visit, it may be that your time will be cut short. We will usually call you at the number we have for you 1-2 days before your appointment but it remains your responsibility to remember your visit time. Please respect our time and let us know at least 24 hours ahead if you cannot make your scheduled visit.

Insurance Coverage:

The office does not bill insurance. If you have a PPO, your visits may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company at out-of-network provider rates for any of the doctors. This depends on a number of factors, including the company and your deductible. We can provide you with a CMS-1500 form to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Some health savings accounts will allow you to pay for visits or supplements from that fund. You will need to check with your insurance company for details.

Phone appointments:

Phone appointments are usually available for existing patients but the first visit must be in person.

Unless you are a Medicare patient, payment is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, personal checks, debit, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Please do not ask us to post-date checks or wait to charge your credit card. If your check bounces, we expect that you will also cover the fee the bank charges us when that happens.

Testing fees:

Lab tests may be covered by your insurance. If not, we have negotiated rates with several labs to keep your costs down. Specialized tests typically cost from $50 to $250. Your doctor will discuss the necessity of any test and its cost with you before ordering it.

Supplement prices:

Supplement prices can also vary, with an average cost for each from $10 to $40 for a month’s supply. Some specialty supplements, especially in high doses, may cost significantly more.

Shots and IVs:

Shots (like vitamin B12) range from $15 to $30, and IVs cost from $75 to $250, depending on the duration and contents being infused.
